Water Supply Systems:
PROVAN & LORBER, INC. has extensive water supply experience
with private and municipal projects. Our staff prepares water studies,
designs water supply systems and improvements, and performs construction
services. We have prepared designs for gravel and bedrock wells,
treatment systems, distribution system piping, and storage tanks.
Report preparation includes investigations of existing water supply
characteristics, identifying the yield of existing sources, water
demand projections, and development studies of surface water and
groundwater sources. The evaluation of these systems includes the
interpretation of mapping and hydrogeologic data, field testing,
pressure and flow testing, hydraulic analysis, computer modeling,
and cost-effectiveness evaluations of alternative systems. Water
supply designs include filtration and complete treatment process,
pumping and booster systems' chlorination facilities, storage tanks,

Storm Drainage, Site
PROVAN & LORBER, INC. has completed storm drainage projects
for many communities and private clients for both conduit and
channelized flow. Storm drain management is primary to permit
applications and environmental regulations. The layout of the
storm sewer networks include catch basins, area drains, slope
requirements, and acceptable outfall locations dictated by existing
topographic features. In many cases, detail work includes access
to contributory drainage areas and runoff calculations for sizing
storm sewers. When required, detention or retention ponds are
sized and located as part of the drainage runoff system. Drainage
improvements are often completed in conjunction with other utility
improvements such as streets, sidewalks, and sanitary sewers.

NPDES permits for stormwater discharge. We can analyze the site,
make recommendations on contaminant reduction, and provide specifics
on the technology for stormwater treatment.
Parking: PROVAN & LORBER, INC. has developed roadway,
sidewalk, and parking lot designs for numerous land development
projects. Streets and roadways utilize computer applications for
design of horizontal and vertical alignments, profiles, cross-sections,
gravel pavement requirements, and utilities. Other ancillary sites
include sidewalks, footbridges, recreation trails, lighting, access
roads, parking garage sites, and accent landscaping.
Roadways and parking lots are often the primary design feature
in determining the site layout. These require careful consideration
and planning to maximize the site potential, provide safe and
convenient access, and yet maintain reasonable development costs.
We emphasize these considerations in all our land development
